Starting a Business? - Readiness Assessment - This workshop is focused on those who are considering going into business for themselves. We will discuss many of the myths and realities of being an entrepreneur and will go through a number of self evaluation tools to make sure it's right for you. Once you know you are ready to own your own business, we will review a checklist of things to do before investing your money in starting the business.

QuickBooks Basics
The main objective is to introduce you to the mostly used features in QuickBooks. You will learn how to enter transactions relating to Account Receivables, Receiving Payments, Accounts Payable and how to make deposits and get the reports that you need. SELECTING A BUSINESS SYSTEM FOR BUSINESS GROWTH
Every entrepreneur is directed to obtain an accounting system before or soon after they open for business often based on little or no information. Quicken, Quick Books and Peach Tree are often selected because they are lower cost and promoted as systems for non-accountants. Your first system can be a simple Excel spreadsheet system or a complex ERP. Some specialized Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems also provide basic accounting.
